(gentle upbeat music) - Hi, my name is John and today, I'm going to show you how you can easily take and annotate photos inside of the HCSS Field system, which is a part of the HeavyJob system. So, I've got my Field system up and in the center of the screen, you can see that I have a photos icon. I'm gonna click on my photos icon and it brought up a couple of pictures that I took on my job site. So, I'm going to click into that and now, I'm looking at the actual job site, but what is it that I'm looking at?
We can now go and we can take different detailed notes on the photo itself. So it may be that red indicates that it's a potential safety issue and it could be that green is a potential change order. Maybe I'm going to eat the cost of that change order because I had to move a fire hydrant four feet. Not a big deal, but it may be that I use a different color where I'm going to indicate a change order that I'm going to definitely bill that customer for.
So I'm going to do something like that. I'm going to take the pictures and being in the timecard and job costing business since 1998, it may seem a little bit self-explanatory why you need to see photos on your job site. But if you don't make these types of annotations and you don't do captions and you don't do things like that, the end of the year, you have three to 4,000 photos and you have no idea what you're looking at. So, we're going to spend some time talking through that with you and then, of course, we've got the ability to put text and those types of things on the photo, as well.
So I'm going to save this photo, I'm going to send it off, and then I'm going to go over to the second photo that I've taken today. By the way, these photos instantly show up in your Management system. So it takes about two or three minutes, if you have an internet connection. This will work connected or disconnected from the internet.
But if you have an internet connection, a tablet plan, or wifi on the job site, it's going to show up in your Manager system. So this right here, why did I take a picture of this curb? It could be that what I have to do is I have to go back and I have to demo this curb and instead of using a straight curb, I have to put a rounded curb. Well, I can make those types of annotations very easily.
Save this and now, I know exactly what it is at the management level what I'm looking at and why I took this picture. So I'm going to go back into the system, send it off, and now, I'm done. Now, I've sent off my photos and I'm ready to move on to the next phase of my job. To summarize, what you've seen today is how we can easily take and annotate photos using the HeavyJob Field app.
