Project description
This Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) project in Missouri City involves the rehabilitation of an existing facility. ZeusCon, working alongside LiquiTech Engineers, is tasked with building a new control room, upgrading the blower system, and installing a new lift station to transfer sediment to Headworks International for further processing. Once the new systems are operational and tested, the old process can be safely demolished, extending the life of the facility by another 40 to 50 years.
What makes it interesting?
This project is a full-scale upgrade that significantly modernizes a decades-old system. The transformation includes building entirely new infrastructure within a live, operational plant. Every step must be carefully coordinated to avoid disrupting ongoing operations. The project faces an extensive number of real-world logistical challenges that require advanced tracking and communication tools to stay on schedule and on budget.
How HCSS software assisted with the project
ZeusCon has been using HCSS software since its formation a few years ago, and the impact has been transformative across both bidding and field operations. Projects like this one are won using HeavyBid, while HeavyJob has revolutionized how work gets done on-site. What once required pen-and-paper documentation is now handled digitally through iPads (from safety records and attendance to time cards and materials tracking) all within a single, integrated platform.
With HeavyJob construction management software, the team can easily track materials, manage costs, and monitor deliveries in real time. The field workers can snap photos of delivery tickets, log daily activities, and instantly verify what’s been received, removing guesswork from the equation. These photo records not only support quality control but also keep everyone aligned, from the field to the office, improving overall efficiency and communication.
"If you’re on the fence about HCSS and how it can positively affect your company, come out to my site. Let me tell you how it has made my job easier, how it has made us more productive, how it makes us more money. If you’re looking to scale up, if you’re looking to be able to drive those sales, maintain documentation and be efficient with it, you won’t regret it."
