We’ve introduced Map View in HeavyJob to give you full visibility into your operations. See your jobs in a completely new way. The new Map View pulls together job activity, photos, equipment, and budget progress into one visual dashboard, making it easier for project managers and execs to spot trends and take action.
- Export to Accounting upgrades for better cost visibility
We’ve made exporting to accounting smoother for complex setups. Overrides have been expanded to 25 for more flexibility, and you can now export cost code setup and transaction tags directly to your finance team.
- Pay item tracking improvements for better revenue accuracy
With major improvements to how you track pay items, foremen can now find the right pay items faster with tags (like pipe size > 2”), so they only see what matters for the work they did — cutting down on forgotten or mis-recorded units.
Back in the office, you can make contract changes a whole lot quicker by updating multiple pay items, rates, or cost code groups with a simple Excel upload.
- Major upgrades to Labor Hour Tracking for better compliance
HCSS myField users can now edit their clock-in/out times as well as meal start and end times—helping crews stay accurate and compliant with labor rules. Admins just need to turn on the preference in the myField web app, and the feature is ready to go on both Android and iOS.

HeavyBid Pre-Construction Gets Smarter and More Connected
This quarter, we’ve focused our efforts on making everyday pre-construction work more organized, reportable, and connected, so teams can move faster and (more importantly) stay aligned before a shovel even hits the dirt.
- Standardized fields for consistent reporting
We’re introducing standardized fields to ensure stronger future reporting across HCSS products. By laying this groundwork, you’ll gain more meaningful, automated insights that help your teams identify trends, close data gaps, and make smarter, faster decisions during pre-construction.
Fields like Project Name, Project Status, Key Dates, Client/Owner, and Location will now be consistent across all projects in HeavyBid Pre-Construction. With clean, reliable data entry, estimators, executives, and the operations team can all be on the same page.
- Smarter checklists to keep everyone aligned
We’ve made major enhancements to the Checklist tool within the Project Details feature for better collaboration and planning. Add task names, descriptions, due dates, and notes to keep estimators and their teams organized and on schedule during the Pre-Construction phase.
Completed tasks autosave and get greyed out. This makes it easy to see what’s done and what needs attention, so nothing gets missed. For new tasks, we’ve added a simple “Enter to add” feature to quickly save your to-dos.
- Greater admin control with granular permissions
Previously, permissions within HeavyBid Pre-Construction were fairly limited. Our newest update gives admins fine-tuned control over who can see and do what within the system.
(This is the perfect time for Admins to review permissions and give different access to their team members.)
These granular permissions let you align your team’s roles and responsibilities to protect sensitive project data and give each team member exactly the level of access they need.

Bobcat and Sakai have been added to our list of available OEMs. Now you can pull Bobcat and Sakai machine data like location, fault codes, idle hours, and more directly into HCSS Telematics.
