We all know that the more data you have, the better decisions you can make — that’s why our Q2 release is packed with updates to help you work smarter (not harder). We’ve added major improvements to HeavyBid Pre-Construction, HeavyJob, and all of our fleet products to give you even more tracking, customization, and rich data.
Whether you have HCSS Telematics, HeavyBid, HeavyJob, or any of our HCSS products, here’s a look at the latest updates and releases coming this quarter to help you and your crew make the right decisions.
Key Takeaways for Estimating
Major upgrades to HeavyBid Pre-Construction
HeavyBid Pre-Construction keeps getting smarter and more resilient. This quarter, we focused on making it even more reliable for estimators — leveraging rich data to help them bid on the right work and extract the information they need.
We’re continuing to enhance Pre-Construction for the future HeavyBid platform — if you haven’t turned it on, what better time than now? It’s FREE!

Excel Export for Quick Pricing
Retrieving, manipulating, and sharing data is crucial for estimators. Users can now export their Quick Pricing sheets to Excel. If there’s a prospective project on the radar, the estimator can pull/share the project details and pay items from their Quick Price Sheet to support their ‘go decision’ and go through with the bid.

Auto-Save Enhancements
What’s the good in data if it gets lost? Now, when users switch from project details to Quick Pricing, everything they entered will automatically save, so there is no need to worry about hitting the save button. Once they perform their Quick Pricing, that will auto-save as well, reducing the risk of lost work.

Key Takeaways for Operations
Major updates to HeavyJob and HCSS myField
Connecting the field users to those at the office is vital for making quick, informed decisions. Our latest updates are all about providing more visibility and efficiency to those putting shovels in the ground.
Now Available: Change Order Log
The new Change Order Log allows users to understand and approve scope changes within a single screen. They can zoom in on a single project or span multiple projects. Users can now turn PCOs into executed change orders, compare estimated versus committed costs, and push revenue changes directly to the job after execution. They can also see the original contract value alongside potential and current changes for a complete view of the project scope.
Mobile Cost Code List (Details View)
Visibility is key for field users. This quarter, we’ve added even more to each cost code so they can manage jobs more efficiently. Now, they can see descriptions, tags, production progress, and a full budget view—including budgeted, actual, remaining, and expected vs. actual with variance—directly on their iOS device. Notes, pay items, and cost types are all right there, along with linked PCOs, RFIs, dig permits, and materials—all the data in the palm of their hands.
Edit Clock Events (HCSS myField)
Did an employee forget to clock in or out? With this new update, users can now edit ‘clock in/clock out’ times for starting shifts and meal breaks. They can also fix mistakes before time card submissions.

Key Takeaways for Fleet
Major updates to Equipment and HCSS Telematics
We’re continuing to optimize and automate routine fleet operations this quarter. We set out to simplify core fleet workflows like syncing, large datasets faster, automating cost attribution, and improving safety and accountability through better driver insights.
Initial Sync Performance Improvements (Equipment360)
We've made syncing in Equipment360 Mobile faster and smoother, now covering checklists, custom fields, documents, employees, and equipment parts. That means less waiting and quicker access to the info the team needs to keep things moving in the field.
Gearflow Direct Work Order Costing (Equipment360)
Users can now automatically apply costs for parts received through Gearflow directly to work orders in Equipment360. This makes it easier to track expenses and keeps the parts procurement and job costing streamlined and accurate.
Driver Scorecards (HCSS Telematics)
The newest update now allows users to track and improve driver performance in real time using alerts and customizable scoring metrics. It’s a simple way to spot issues, reward good habits, and keep the fleet running safely and efficiently.

Key Takeaways for Data & Reporting
Major Updates to Data & Reporting
Reporting power is the name of the game. For Q2, we focused on unified data across all products, ensuring we tailor reporting logic to match your real-world business expectations. Along with reporting, we’ve built on our security so that users only see the jobs they need to focus on.
New Company Data Model (HCSS Insights)
For the first time, users can now access their unified data from HeavyJob, Safety, and Forms into a single model, enabling cross-product reporting.
Row-Level Security (HCSS Insights)
Limits user access to only the jobs assigned to them in Credentials, improving data governance and access control.
Customizable “Definition of Late” for Time Card (HCSS Insights)
Admin users can now define what counts as a “late” submission or “approved’ in the time card reporting.
Group Permissions Overhaul
The Groups interface has been redesigned to make it easier to manage access across products and users. Updates include a cleaner UX, the ability to duplicate subscription groups, add descriptions, filter by product, and view license usage at a glance. These changes reduce admin overhead and lay the groundwork for upcoming support of product-level permissions in Credentials—making it easier to scale permissions as your team grows.
Better Features, Smarter Decisions
From HeavyBid Pre-Construction updates to new HeavyJob features, our Q2 release is about connecting your field users to the office and making sure you have reliable data to make the right calls. With smarter estimating tools in HeavyBid, enhanced field visibility in HeavyJob and HCSS myField, and more efficient fleet management through Equipment360 and HCSS Telematics, every improvement is designed to keep critical information flowing to the right people at the right time.
These updates help you stay agile, reduce guesswork, and drive more profitable projects. The Q2 release is another step towards our commitment to a smarter, more efficient industry.
