Use Mobile Geofences to Capture Loading and Unloading of Materials
Mobile geofences can capture the loading and unloading of materials. It draws a 50-foot radius around your equipment so you can see how often that piece of equipment entered and exited job sites. Let's say that I wanna turn on a mobile geofence for dump truck 13-107. So I see it right here under Equipment, and this is the homepage of HCSS Telematics.
I click on the pin here to turn that on. And to see on the map, I go to the bottom here, click on Size to Pins. Okay, so I see that currently this truck is off of 90. And I click on the truck, go to Details, and now I can see more information about this truck.
So I go to Setup here, click on Enable mobile geofence. Yes, I want that. Click on Save. Now, let's make sure that the geofence is turned on in the map view.
Go to Current Status, click on Map It, and see the 50-foot radius mobile geofence on our truck. One of the biggest benefits with using mobile geofence is the ability to drive your cycle time reports. So let's look at how to do that. Go to Reports on the left, click on History, Cycle Time, make sure Mobile Geofence is selected, and it is.
And let's say I want to compare cycle times for all of my Tandem dump trucks, so go to Equipment Types, second page, Tandem Dump Truck, click OK. And let's say I want to look at it for the last week. Go ahead and go up here, select a week beforehand, click on Run Report. And now you can see a clear view of all of your Tandem dump truck cycle times.
Dynamic geofences move with a piece of equipment to provide accurate asphalt cycle time and equipment transport tracking.
