If you’re still learning about HCSS HeavyJob, we’d like to help. Here are the top questions people ask our sales team about our job management software.
1. What is HeavyJob?
Designed specifically for the construction industry, HeavyJob is widely known as a digital time card tool. HeavyJob allows your foremen to fill out digital time cards in the field using tools to help track diary entries, daily deliveries, delays, and weather. All of this information is sent directly to the office from a laptop or mobile device in the field.
But HeavyJob is much more than just time cards.
2. What are the different user options for HeavyJob?
HeavyJob is designed for use throughout your organization, with both PC/laptop and mobile applications (iOS and Android capability). In the office, your project managers, estimators, and payroll or accounting professionals can use HeavyJob Manager software downloaded onto their PCs to approve time cards and track production and costs, use actual cost and production data to influence future bids, and reconcile budgets and pay employees.
HeavyJob Manager Mobile, available as an iPad app, allows project managers to approve time cards and view diaries, photos, and cost information wherever they are, because they don’t stay in the office or on one job site all day long.
HeavyJob Field is typically used by foremen, superintendents, and crew leaders to enter time card and daily diary information, as well as safety observations, from the job site via laptop, smartphone, or tablet and send that data directly to the Manager system. HeavyJob One is used by individual employees who do not report to a crew but still need to submit time and production quantities to the office via a mobile app.
3. How do I host HeavyJob?
Your company can host HeavyJob licenses and data on your own server or cloud, allowing for multiple users to be in the system and have access to the same data at the same time (or separately). Or let the HCSS Cloud host your licenses and data on our own highly secure servers. All you have to do to access your software is connect to HeavyJob through an internet connection on any device.
Our Enterprise version allows large companies with multiple divisions to share software licenses while maintaining completely different data sets.
4. Does HeavyJob interface with other software systems?
HeavyJob interfaces with HeavyBid, Equipment360, HCSS Safety, HCSS Dispatcher, and HCSS GPS, as well as the programs you use to run your business. HCSS also has created direct interfaces with more than 45 accounting systems, including those used by construction companies of all sizes.
If an integration has not been designed to fit your accounting system, we can build a custom interface tailored specifically to your organization’s processes. This interface will help you avoid double entry, improve information accuracy, and save time in your payroll process.
5. How do I get my company up and running using HeavyJob?
HCSS offers both onsite and online options for HeavyJob implementation. Regardless of how you choose to implement your new software, HCSS and your key stakeholders will participate in status calls throughout the implementation process and provide weekly updates regarding project action items to ensure that all requirements are met.
6. How many HeavyJob licenses should I buy?
The number of HeavyJob licenses your organization should purchase depends on your company size and number of users. And your company’s license mix is customizable to suit your needs in the office and on the job site.
7. How much does HeavyJob cost?
Pricing for HeavyJob software and training varies greatly and is tailored specifically for each customer. For an accurate price quote, please contact an HCSS salesperson.
