If you’re still learning about HCSS Safety, we’d like to help. Here are the top five questions people ask our sales guys about our safety management software.
1. What is HCSS Safety?
HCSS Safety helps your company create a strong safety culture throughout your organization by putting safety responsibility directly in your workers’ hands.
HCSS Safety’s comprehensive web and mobile application features:
• Nearly 1,400 pre-built meetings, inspections, and job hazard analysis (JHA) templates
• Incident, near miss, and observation recording
• Skills and certifications tracking
• A customizable dashboard for analysis and reporting
2. What are the different user options for HCSS Safety?
HCSS Safety is designed for both the office and the field, for use by owners and executives, safety professionals, superintendents, foremen, and crew leads. HCSS Safety Manager allows your safety professionals to easily analyze trends on the job site, prevent incidents, and achieve OSHA compliance, all while reducing cumbersome paperwork with an easy-to-use web app and a customizable dashboard.
The HCSS Safety Field mobile app allows your superintendents, foremen, and crew leads to conduct and record meetings and toolbox talks and document attendance; perform inspections and JHAs based on pre-built templates; and capture near misses, incidents, and safety observations in the field, and send all data directly to the Manager system for immediate reporting.
3. How much does HCSS Safety cost?
Pricing for HCSS Safety software and training varies greatly and is tailored specifically for each customer. For an accurate price quote, please contact an HCSS salesperson.
4. How do I host HCSS Safety?
HCSS Safety is a Software as a Service (SaaS) model with web or mobile app access. The HCSS Cloud hosts data for access on any device with a web browser or through the mobile app downloaded onto a tablet or smartphone.
4. How many HCSS Safety licenses should I buy?
Your initial purchase includes 10 licenses, which may be split between Manager and/or Field users as needed and can be changed at any time. Additional licenses may be purchased as necessary on a charge-by-month basis.
5. Will HCSS Safety work with other HCSS software?
HCSS Safety integrates with HCSS HeavyJob to receive all of your jobs, equipment, and employee setup data from the job management software directly into HCSS Safety instantly and automatically. For safety meetings, you can pull attendees directly from existing time cards in HeavyJob so everyone in your crew is included at once, instead of selecting each person individually. In addition, meeting and inspection reports are sent from HCSS Safety to HeavyJob time cards and daily diaries.
You can also speed up the safety meeting reporting process by pulling attendees from crews in HCSS Dispatcher’s Daily Dispatch instead of selecting each attendee one by one.
Estimators can tie safety documents from HCSS Safety directly to activity code books in HeavyBid when creating estimates, allowing your job site to see exactly what JHAs, meetings, inspections are needed for hazardous activities and allowing you to create a better safety budget from the start.
