The goal of HCSS Trucking is to eliminate truck tickets, automate the payment process, provide cycle time analysis, and, for those with HeavyJob, use the transaction information for next day job costing.
The first phase of HCSS Trucking is to track the truck tickets and make the ticket reconciliation process much faster between contractor, and any brokers or truckers. We also can now track cycle times and provide nice graphical representations of your trucking operations. Dozens of companies running thousands of trucks have been testing out the process for the last year and it is now ready for general release. Consider testing it out over the winter holidays.
GPS units are NOT required to use HCSS Trucking. Here is the process:
- Step 1 – Install small iBeacons in all trucks that visit your job site – HCSS provides these at no cost
- Step 2 – Put our free trucking app on the smart phone of anyone who is functioning as a “ticket taker”
- Step 3 – Place an HCSS “LoadBot” anywhere you want to track trucks unattended ($1,000 each)
As trucks arrive to the job-site, the person in charge of receiving trucks either registers the truck by placing an iBeacon in the cab, or scans the iBeacon already in the truck. From then on, for the rest of the day, the truck comes up automatically on the smart phone of the ticket taker when it is in range, or is recorded by an unattended LoadBot when it is detected. If the ticket has a material quantity, that currently has to be entered, but soon it will come in automatically from anyone using Command Alkon for their scale systems.
All data is automatically summarized in our Trucking Web Manager so contractors and brokers can verify work complete and clear up any disputes immediately – our goal is within 24 hours.
Other than the optional LoadBots for $1,000 each, our trucking cost is only $4 per truck per truck per day that a truck is used, therefore you can get started by tracking a handful of trucks for very little expense. Try it today by going to HCSS Credentials and turning it on, study the HCSS Academy trucking videos, and then order some free iBeacons from us.
If you have HeavyJob, the trucking transactions go in as “MSE” transactions which you can study on HeavyJob reports.
