What to Expect in HeavyBid 101

Below is an overview of what you can expect in this two-day class.

Structure of HeavyBid:
Explanation of the flow of information between estimates and system wide data such as Activity, Material/Other Resources and Biditem Codebooks.

Setting up a Master Estimate:
Covers the setup of Labor, Equipment, Crews, Calendars, Overtime Rules and Workers Comp.

Creating a New Estimate:
Create a new estimate using the master estimate as the source.

Cost Entry:
Entry of Biditems, Activities and Resources to create cost in the estimate.

Quotes Subsystem:
Solicit and manage quotes from vendors; select the vendors you want to use; update estimate costs with selected vendors' prices; and, print subcontract documents and purchase orders.

Estimate Review:
Analysis of the estimate helping you to find and correct potential problems or mistakes.

Bid Summary:
Total all of the resource costs in the estimate. Create Markup, Addons and Bond cost and how to spread these cost to generate balanced prices for the biditems.

Bid Pricing:
Bid Pricing is one of the most important screens in HeavyBid, and it is used as the final step in determining bid prices. Review and change bid prices, make last minute adjustments, and review statistics for the entire estimate and for each biditem.

Reports:
Overview of important reports such as Cost Reports, Summary Reports, Estimate Recap and Bid Proposals.
