Adam Black

Adam BlackAdam Black was born and raised in Houston, TX and attended the University of Houston, earning a B.S. in Political Science.  Working as a lobbyist in Austin for the past few years, Adam realized that technology was more to his liking. 

After marrying his high school sweetheart in 2009 and having a beautiful baby girl in 2010, he and his wife decided to return to Houston to raise their family. 

When he's not enjoying time with them, Adam is probably playing sports, arguing politics, reading, or going to movies.

Andrew Ouano

Andrew OuanoAndy Ouano was born in Dearborn, Michigan and was raised in the Metro Detroit area (Troy, for anyone familiar with the area). He graduated from Michigan State University with a BA in History and later earned his teaching credentials from Madonna University in Livonia.

He left Michigan in 2002 to work at Waller High School in Waller, Texas, and he worked there as a Social Studies teacher until he accepted his position as Implementation Specialist here at HCSS.

He has been working toward his Masters Degree in Educational Technology at Texas A&M, although currently he is considering a transfer to Houston Baptist University.

He has been married for just over three years to his wife Jenna, and his hobbies include playing the piano as well as a variety of sports, including basketball and softball.

Andy Truong

Andy TruongRegional Supervisor
(West Region)

Andy grew up in Lincoln, Nebraska and graduated from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln (Go Huskers!) with a finance degree. While going to school he spent most of his free time tinkering around with computers. His four sisters used to refer to him as “a Nerd”. After graduation Andy worked for BryanLGH Medical Center taking care of their computer systems.

Four years later he sold all his possessions and moved to Austin, Texas, where he worked for Texas Medical Liability Trust as a Junior Network Administrator. Two and half years later he decided Austin wasn't big enough (laugh) so he packed his stuff (a little more stuff this time) and moved to Houston. Andy joined HCSS in April 2005.

Away from work Andy enjoys traveling, watching movies, play tennis and poker.

Ben Tucker

Ben TuckerProject Manager

Ben is originally from Houston and has lived here most of his life, he joined HCSS in the Spring of 2003. One of the few single guys in HCSS support, his dogs Beckett, a lab mix, and Jewel, a pit bull mix, keep him busy! In his spare time, Ben likes to watch movies and work on his computer.

When asked what he liked best about working at HCSS, Ben responded, "The people at HCSS are great! They are intelligent, hard-working and they really know how to have a good time." In addition to his general computer expertise, Ben has an Oracle Developer certification.

Charles Ogar

Charles Ogar Charles was born in Lubbock, TX but started school in New Brunswick, NJ. After many moves during his childhood, Charles has been in Houston, TX since 1998 and now considers Houston home. Before joining HCSS he was a technical support representative and became A+ certified in June of 2010. Charles and his wife see themselves as budding entrepreneurs, and are always looking for ways to expand and grow business-wise.

He is the oldest of 8 (4 boys and 4 girls, no twins!) and his hobbies include reading science fiction, self-improvement, or business books; basketball, roller blading, tennis, building/repairing electronics, and Latin dancing, which is how he met his wife initially.

Chris Henry

Chris HenryImplementation Manager / Regional Supervisor

Chris is originally from NY, and lived on Long Island his entire pre-Houston life. He's been married 16 years, has one son, and a dog named Raymundo, who he thinks is "the coolest dog on the planet." He loves to be around groups and entertain as often as he can and is a big Marvel Comics fan. He also likes to get to the bow range as often as possible.

Daniel Amaya

Daniel AmayaDaniel Amaya was born and raised in San Pedro Sula, Honduras. He has lived in Houston since February 2000, 2 months after getting married. Daniel feels no remorse for having left his home country.

He enjoy the outdoors and also enjoys eating out with his wife, Melissa, and 3 children, Esteban, David and Rebekah, more than just about anything else. He also enjoys working around the house, even though his wife doesn’t think he does enough of that.

Dan Lisbony

Dan LisbonyDan is a native Houstonian, and has been at HCSS since January of 2007. He loves the teamwork and comradery of the HCSS employees and also the contact with the customers. He was a bartender for 13 years, so he definitely enjoys talking with everyone and solving problems.

In his spare time, he enjoys playing sports, his family & friends, and hanging out with company. If you are ever in contact with Dan, ask him about his love for Karaoke.

David McKinney

David McKinneyDavid joined the HCSS family in 2007 and brought with him a very broad ranged background. He spent twelve years in the US Army on M1A1 Abrams tanks. Upon completion of his military time, he was able to attend Sam Houston State University where he graduated with a degree in History and a Minor in Political Science.

He has worked at several interesting places before becoming part of the HCSS team such as a Guard at a County Jail, a Prison Records Clerk, and Shift Manager at a University Library. With such a varied background, David still finds HCSS to be one the best places he has ever worked because of the people and the way the company is run.

When not working, David relaxes by watching movies, playing video games, and learning to do 3D animation.

Genaro Garza

Genaro GarzaRegional Manager
(West Region)

Genaro is originally from Harlingen, Texas near the Texas/Mexico border and has been with HCSS since the Winter of 2002. As the Chris Headstream Implementation Center Manager he enjoys helping customers implement our suite of products in our Houston headquarters as well as at their own offices, and thrives on the personal interaction with customers.

Genaro married his college sweetheart in 1999. Their only "child" is a Golden Retriever/Lab mix named Trixie. Genaro is a true sportsman who loves hunting and fishing of all kinds. He frequently heads to Galveston Island on the weekends to go saltwater fishing in the surf. He says, "I go hunting or fishing at least once a month (more often than not it is three or four times a month). Some people may even go as far as saying that I have a problem, but I don't think I have one!" People at the office are always happy to see Genaro show up with fresh homemade tamales made from the latest game he has bagged.

Greg Besmehn

Greg BesmehnGreg was born in San Francisco, CA, and moved around a lot when he was young, living in exotic places like Grande Prairie, Alberta, and Jakarta, Indonesia before settling in Houston, Texas. He graduated from University of Houston with a Bachelor's degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, and started working at HCSS at the beginning of 2007.

He was recently married to Jennifer who is expecting a baby boy, Samuel in May of 2008. In his spare time he likes to dabble in digital/film photography and enter photo contests. "I feel like I have found a good home here at HCSS," said Greg. "I love the fact that everyone cares about what they do and how it affects the company. It is refreshing to see everyone take an active role in the company’s management."

Greg Tullous

Greg TullousGreg was born and raised in Houston and spent the majority of his life in the Cypress, TX area before a short departure to Atlanta, GA and Austin, TX the last 4 years. However, now he is back in Houston for good, and he hopes to stay here for the remainder of his working career.

Previously, Greg worked with a large wireless company for 15 years performing numerous roles in Network Planning and Engineering, Operations Management, and Technical Sales Support before joining HCSS in April 2007.

He graduated from Sam Houston State University with a BBA in General Business, and his hobbies include playing golf and fishing.

Jason Roznovsky

Jason RoznovskySupport Manager

Jason has been with HCSS since September of 2004. He graduated from the University of Houston Downtown in the fall of 2003 and married his wife, Dawn, in April of 2004.

A lifelong Houstonian, Jason is a huge sports fan and an avid poker player. The thing he likes most about working for HCSS is the environment. "It's relaxed yet professional. We have open communications throughout the company to express our views and ideas to help make the company grow. The people here are great and the free lunches are a bonus!"

Jeff Burch

Jeff BurchImplementation Specialist

Jeff moved to Houston in June 2006 and started work at HCSS the next day. No stranger to the area, Jeff was born just across the Louisiana border in Lake Charles, but spent much of his life living in West Virginia.

Travel and teaching are two central themes to his life. He loves the opportunity to work and train with HCSS’s great customers, wherever they may be. Previous to joining HCSS, Jeff taught French at West Virginia University. He didn’t think his French language skills would be put to work at HCSS, but just two weeks on the job he was asked to translate for some contacts in Paris! When he’s not busy on the road or training here in Houston, you might just catch Jeff enjoying the great outdoors – running, camping, or possibly even skiing.

John Lassig

John LassigJohn is a native Houstonian who joined HCSS in January 2005, bringing with him more than ten years of experience in Information Technology, from network administration, systems support, to programming. He received a BBA from the University of Houston in Computer Information Systems.

He is a dedicated runner and cyclist and enjoys outdoor activities such as sailing, kayaking, and camping. John says the best part of working at HCSS is the friendly, yet challenging work environment. Everyone here brings their best each day.

John Rydin

John RydinJohn was born in the Houston area and joined HCSS in August of 2008. He graduated with a degree in Business Management from Trinity University in San Antonio. Using his experiences as a graveyard shift phlebotomist (blood taker), medical center technician, and HCSS intern, he utilizes his good work ethic and provides a fresh perspective to the company.

John enjoys building/fixing computers, audio/visual networking, playing video games, and watching movies as well as playing soccer, tennis, and running.

Josh McDonald

Josh McDonaldIT Manager
(South Region)

Josh was born and raised in the Houston area and came on board the HCSS Support team in November of 2006. Prior to his arrival at HCSS, Josh worked as the general manager for a small subcontracting company and handled both the estimating and job tracking for the company.

He graduated from college in the fall of 2004 with a Bachelor’s degree in Theology. He has functioned as the Associate Minister at his church since May of 2004, and spent a brief six months in China working as a missionary. As a result, he is highly interested in studying Chinese culture and language and hopes to one day become fluent in Mandarin.

Josh is married to his wife Rebekah. Their first daughter, Annabel, was born in July of 2005. Alyssa, their second daughter, was born in May of 2007. Josh enjoys spending time with his family, working at HCSS, and ministering through his church. He considers working at HCSS a huge benefit, and enjoys the environment, the people, and serving his customers.

Justin Phillips

Justin PhillipsJustin was born in Atlanta, Georgia and moved to Texas at the age of 8. He grew up in Dallas, Texas before moving to Austin to attend The University of Texas. After graduating with a degree in Management Information Systems he moved to the Houston area, and has been working at HCSS since October of 2004.

Being one of the single guys Justin also has plenty of free time. He enjoys playing pool, watching movies, and going out with his friends during his free time. He also does graphic design for musicians in his spare time. Justin is still a Longhorn fan, and every Saturday he is either watching the game on TV or from the stands.

Kevin Bergman

Kevin BergmanKevin Bergman was born in Houston, TX and returned in 1994 to study Psychology and Biology at the University of Houston.  It was also at that time that he found his true passion for work in technology and began a career in IT.  Moving from the the field, as a Double Agent with the Geek Squad, to the office, as a Windows System Admin for a construction company, he confirmed that working with technology was his true calling. 

He now lives in northwest Houston with his amazing wife Nicole and three children Cameron, Greta, and Samuel.  Kevin enjoys spending his free time outdoors with his family and two Shelties Max and Gracie.

Kevin Foster

Kevin FosterKevin attended Sam Houston State University where he graduated with a degree in Literature. Before coming to HCSS in 2007, Kevin ran a scoring center for Harcourt Assessment, based in San Antonio, where they scored Math tests for the Maryland Department of Education.

Over the past few years he has traveled through Europe extensively. Paris is his favorite city. He is currently Director-at-Large for two Boards of Directors; Gulf Coast Mensa and the local chapter of Hostelling International. He reads a great deal and is an avid movie buff.

Lewis Frey

Lewis FreyLewis was born and raised in the Houston area and began his career with HCSS in June of 2007. Lewis graduated with dual majors in MIS and Management from Texas Tech University and is an avid fan of Red Raider sports as well as being a Dallas Cowboys fan.

Prior to HCSS, Lewis owned and managed a computer retail company and has also worked as a retail manager for Lowe's.

His hobbies include spending time with his wife (Amy) and dogs, tinkering with his classic mustang, and playing tennis/soccer/softball.

Lewis enjoys his time at HCSS and thinks highly of HCSS, its employees and its customers.”

Matt Fidler

Matt FidlerBorn just outside of Baltimore, Maryland, Matt has lived in Connecticut, Florida, Ohio, Michigan, and now Texas. After graduating from Bowling Green State University in Ohio, Matt was a chef in Rochester, Michigan and a car salesman in Houston, Texas. After learning a lot from these two experiences, Matt came to work for HCSS in June of 2007.

While not at work Matt enjoys film, photography, reading, cooking, eating, cycling, traveling, listening to music and playing video games, to name just a few of his hobbies. He also enjoys working on his house with his wife Erica, and feeding their Demekin goldfish, Igor and Pluto.

Nish Parekh

Nish ParekhRegional Manager

Nish grew up in Austin and Houston and began working with HCSS in the Summer of 2000.

Nish enjoys working at HCSS because of the excellent, easy-going work environment and the opportunity to branch out and work with other departments within the company. Formerly with the Support Department and now with Implementation, he also coordinates the University Program. Says Nish, "If your alma mater isn't using HeavyBid to teach heavy/highway estimating and you think they should be, give me a call."

Suhail Khaliq

Suhail KhaliqSuhail began working at HCSS in July 2002. Before joining HCSS, he has experience with a variety of computer hardware and software applications, including programming in Fortran and C++. Suhail sees the value in HCSS’s Software Implementation and has undertaken the task of Managing On-Site Implementations. What Suhail likes best about working at HCSS is the casual environment. "We maintain a relaxed, yet professional relationship with our customers, and we are encouraged to have fun around the office," remarks Suhail.

Although he was born in Chicago, Suhail has been in Houston since 1981. Suhail is involved in a number of activities such as the HCSS Softball team, running and skydiving. He has traveled extensively to countries around the world, and he speaks five languages - English, Urdu, Hindi, Arabic and Punjabi. This came in handy on one particularly difficult support call when English was not the customer's first language - Suhail simply slipped into Urdu and was able to fix the problem!

Phillip Robinson

Phillip RobinsonPhillip was born in Ventura, CA but raised in Houston, so he considers himself a native Houstonian. He enjoys reading historical fiction, cooking, and is a huge car buff. He played football in high school at Hightower High School in Missouri City and is currently working on his bachelors' degree in MIS at the University of Houston.

Phillip joined HCSS in March of 2009 with previous experience in food management, personal security and gourmet food preparation.

Ryan Keathley

Ryan KeathleyRyan Keathley was born in raised in Houston, Texas. Growing up, he loved playing sports and spending time outdoors with friends. While attending Clear Lake High School, Ryan played lacrosse and spent his free time hanging out with friends and fishing.

After high school, he attended Texas A&M University where he earned an MIS degree. While in college, he fell in love with the outdoors; spending extensive time in Wyoming, Alaska, and Colorado, and spending as much time on the water as possible. In June 2008, a month after graduating, Ryan began his professional career working in the Technical Services department at HCSS.

Todd Derscheid

Todd DerscheidTodd Derscheid lives in Spring Branch with his wife Lee and their three daughters, ages 6,5, and 3.  He has a degree in English from the University of Houston.  

His most recent full-time employment was at Apache Corporation as a UNIX Systems Analyst.  He is a board game enthusiast and avid reader.
