Interface to Accounting

Are you tired of the time consuming and error-prone process of manually entering your estimate budgets into your accounting system? HeavyBid can help. One of its many time saving features is the interface to accounting. With it, you can quickly export your budgets with the click of a button.

HeavyBid supports all major construction accounting packages. In total, it supports over 40 different accounting systems. If you happen to own a package it does not currently interface with, we will create a new export for you, typically free of charge.

Setup is easy and done once in the template. Simply select your accounting package and set HeavyBid’s cost types to link to your accounting system’s cost types. Once set up, this information will be remembered for all future estimates.

Choose from a broad range of fields within HeavyBid to create your Cost Codes, including the alternate accounting code from the activity codebook. You may use 2-segment codes and automatically format them to match the accounting system’s format. The same flexibility is available with the export to HeavyJob.

The export to HeavyJob can also send your estimate notes and a listing of the estimate resources associated with each cost code so foremen can compare the resources they are using against the original estimate. Additionally, HeavyJob will import your accounting cost code information and set up the Billing system with pay items automatically, making billing much easier in addition to giving you a double check for your accounting process.
