Flexible Crews

Crews are normally set up in template estimates and come in automatically when a new estimate is created. Below is an example of an Erosion Control Crew showing the labor and equipment and how many of each are in that crew.

Crews can be modified here for the specific estimate or can be modified for any specific activity while you are estimating as in the example below.

In this example the Erosion Control crew is used in the Install Silt Fence activity and has been called up for modification. At this point labor or equipment can be added or deleted and number of pieces could be changed even the rent and operating percent factors can be modified, for example if this crew was working in rock and had higher operating expenses because of excessive equipment wear. Any changes made here only affect the Silt Fence activity.

Crew production can be changed in several places including the screen above. When a crew is used all the associated labor and equipment is inserted into the estimate for easy analysis of labor and equipment use. You can also change a crew that has been used numerous times in the estimate all at once and can even change one crew to another crew throughout the estimate.

The power of the crew feature in HeavyBid is a great example of years of fine tuning based on continuous customer feedback.
