Building New Estimates from Past Estimates

HeavyBid provides excellent tools to build new estimates from previously created estimates. This functionality increases efficiency by preventing re-entry in subsequent estimates.

HeavyBid takes advantage of a library estimate, which enables estimators to build a catalogue of all regularly used biditem structures that contain fully customized activities and resources. Individual sections of the library estimate can then be used in new estimates as the need for those pre-built structures are required.

Additionally, HeavyBid has the ability to build estimates from multiple past estimates that may or may not be a part of the library estimate. This seamless function allows estimators to quickly view and merge information from other estimates that contain similar work into their current estimate. This feature can even be used to copy work that is duplicated within the same estimate, saving time and the frustration of repetitive entry.

DOT line items can also be used to build an estimate. HeavyBid can link DOT line items to specific biditems from the library estimate that have already been set up, so some of estimate creation can be automated, saving time and increasing productivity.
