HCSS BRINGS CONTRACTORS CLOSER TO PAPERLESS JOBSITE
HCSS introduces a totally new concept of tracking jobs that helps contractors get jobsite data back to the office in a timely and efficient manner for review. State of the art HeavyJob Pocket is the handheld addition to the HeavyJob line of products that revolutionizes the way jobsite information is collected and reported by eliminating repetitious manual data entry which saves construction companies both time and money. HeavyJob Pocket runs on any Palm handheld III, V, or VII series device making it both a convenient and inexpensive option for construction companies to collect daily jobsite data. Using HeavyJob Pocket, time sheets, production quantities, material receipt and usage, and equipment usage can now all be recorded quickly and easily by field personnel without paper. With one tap of a button, HeavyJob Pocket instantly dispatches the job information entered in the field back to either HeavyJob Manager or HeavyJob Field. This makes cost information immediately available to be evaluated and reviewed, giving management the critical information needed to make the most informed decisions about a job.
"Having the ability to track costs as can be done with the HeavyJob system is a dream come true for Waters Construction" said Chief Estimator/Project Manager Keith Sullivan. "We are using two systems in the field and the Manager on our network and we are getting insight that we never had before to daily costs. I congratulate HCSS on a well thought out system and we are looking forward to tracking all of our jobs."
Management can tailor HeavyJob Pocket to fit their company using either HeavyJob Field or the HeavyJob Manager system. The customized setups that are created are then downloaded into HeavyJob Pocket. This allows field personnel to efficiently enter daily jobsite information by choosing from drop down menus of company specified keywords. HeavyJob Pocket also has a screen which provides a form for field personnel to add any additional notes necessary for that day. All the data entered using HeavyJob Pocket is then uploaded into either HeavyJob Field or HeavyJob Manager. The time cards can then be reviewed and edited by the project manager and sent directly to the company's payroll accounting system.
HCSS was founded in 1986 to provide software solutions and support services to civil construction contractors and has become the nations leading producer of estimating and job control software for the heavy/highway/utility and environmental industries.
