Job Summary:
Under general supervision, performs duties related to the purchase of equipment, materials and stocked supplies. Inputs Purchase Orders and maintains computerized inventory and related records. Receives, stores, and issues a variety of supplies, materials, and equipment for Sprint Pipeline Services. This is a fast paced environment and requires high energy level and the ability to multi-task.
Primary Duties:
- Enter driver/Mechanic/Runner Time.
- Zero hours report.
- Sort/File Drivers Logs/DVIRs, organize and mail out at beginning of every month.
- File vehicle inspection reports.
- Fuel Report.
- Set up, delete fuel fobs.
- Keep tabs on equipment in Dispatch.
- Equipment Rented/owned reports.
- Review equipment usage and timesheets.
- Enter missing time for equipment in Viewpoint.
- Find and rent equipment for the field.
- Write PO's for equipment and the mechanics.
- Organize and file repair orders and invoice copies.
- Organize, check, and file driver's "In/Out" sheets.

Experience: Three years experience in purchasing and materials handling or systemized storekeeping. Operating knowledge of inventory management system and loading equipment (e.g., forklift, pallet jack) preferred; required within 3 months after hire.

The primary role of the Civil Senior Estimator is to provide civil estimating services. Prepare bid packages for civil construction projects and assist civil operations and administration as needed during construction.
TYPICAL DUTIES:

Pre-bid Process:
Review bid documents and attend pre-bid meeting. Investigate project site before bid to identify potential problems, access issues, haul routes, waste areas, borrow areas, staging areas, dump sites, etc. Determine project scope and scope of work to be self-performed and subcontracted. Issue invitations to bid and supply bid documents to potential subcontractors and suppliers via online plan rooms.
Bid Process:
Serve as company liaison to subcontractors and vendors during the bidding process. Perform complete and accurate quantity takeoffs for individual items of work. Use civil takeoff software to perform quantity takeoffs. Determine activity production rates based on scope of work, difficulty of work, historical production data, etc. Determine appropriate work crew for each work activity. Utilize HCSS civil estimating software to prepare complete cost estimates Review scope, cost and terms of subcontractor and vendor quotes to select best value quotes. Maintain an accurate estimate file including correspondence, takeoff, addenda, photos, quotations, estimating software report, and bid submittal documents. Assure that risk has been considered within the bid. Conduct and facilitate Final Estimate Review with Management.
Bid Delivery:
Develop Bid Delivery strategy. Ensure bid submittal documents are completed fully and correctly. Ensure the bid is delivered on time.
Post-Bid Process:
Update and maintain the civil estimate log in a timely manner. Assist in preparing the quarterly Civil Estimating Report to Management Complete estimate buyout, issue letters of intent and prepare the estimate information notebook. Conduct hand-off meeting with project personnel. Coordinate and work closely with Project Managers during the project. Investigate value engineering options as required.
Prospect Qualification:
Assist with identifying potential projects within the marketplace which align with the company's goals, expertise and operational needs. Assist with evaluating potential projects using the Project Evaluation Scoring Matrix.
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- 4-yr degree in construction science, construction management or engineering
- Must have an extensive knowledge in the use of HCSS Heavybid and Microsoft Excel
- Must have an extensive knowledge in structural and flatwork concrete takeoff and estimating
- Must have excellent math and geometry skills

Senior Estimator - Heavy Highway
General Description
This position within the Estimating Department at Hubbard Construction Company will have at least 10 years of civil construction estimating experience, with an emphasis on highway interchanges, drainage systems, roads, and bridges. Designed-Built experience highly preferred.
Key Duties
- This is a senior level estimator position. Experience working for a General Contractor as an estimator bidding on DOT or heavy highway projects required.
- Estimating projects which typically range from 5 million to 50 million dollars.
- Estimating self-performed work and pricing the labor, equipment, and material costs.
- Working knowledge of construction assemblies and all project phases. Ability to produce accurate estimates from conceptual and schematic drawings.
- Ability to produce detailed, final contract estimates.
- Ability to assess site exposures/construction risks and be able to appropriately analyze cost and reflect these in an estimate.
